4Only works for certain ATI cardsFeb 18, 2010
By Chad Jones
This adapter will only work with specific ATI video cards and the only if you have the specific ATI Catalyst drivers. See the details on ATI's site here: [...] They also have a manual for this adapter on the website.

The reason it doesn't work with just any DVI-I output is because TVs use a sync-on-luminance signal ([...]), which only certain video cards support. I have an ATI Radeon 4350 so I assumed it would work, but unfortunately this card does not support the sync on luminance so the adapter couldn't do it.

1Didn't workJul 08, 2007

As others mentioned, this item may not work for you. It didn't work for me, though I have fairly modern equipment on both ends that I hooked this up to. It doesn't come with an explanation of the six toggle pins on it, either.

2Inadequently RepresentedDec 23, 2006

This product did arrive in good condition, for that I will award two stars.

This product represents little information of what it does. I believe it only works with DVI signals having TV-Out.

With my component television, the display has inaccurate colors (white is purple), no resolution setting (from 620x480-1280x1024) on many different hZ frequences solved the problem.

This product is not intended for a normal video card (as in my Macbook Pro- which works great by the way)

4Works with these cards only!Jul 24, 2011
By kristian kratz
I looked around for a while, because I have a Radeon with DVI-I but it will not work with my card. According to my research (I could be wrong) it will only work with the following cards. I hope this helps you guys.

- ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500 Series
- ATI's Radeon 9500 Series
- ATI's Radeon 9600 Series
- ATI's Radeon 9700 Series
- ATI's Radeon 9800 Series

**Will not work with the Radeon 8500**

100% useless. Don't buy this unless your sure you have the exact ATI car this was designed for or you'll be SOL.
